LEEM emission-intensity data can be integrated into a building’s energy management system. For example, the LEEM signal can be directed to a smart device, or an energy/emissions management application. Energy managers can then use this electricity emission-intensity data to shed and shift electricity consumption away from HVAC, compressors, pumps, lights, and other electrical draws.
In addition to emissions data, the LEEM data stream can provide users the site- and time-specific data regarding locational marginal pricing, commercial node, and marginal generator information.
